Balancing Rights and Medical Assistance in Dying

In 2016, the Public Interest Law Centre in partnership with Taylor McCaffrey LLP represented three Manitoba patients who were applying to the courts for permission to receive medical assistance in dying. Recently, the question of how medical assistance in dying will or will not be provided in faith-based hospitals has been in the news. PILC attorney Allison Fenske appeared on CBC News and spoke with CBC’s Information Radio to talk about medically assisted death laws and the clash between personal and religious rights.
