PILC collaborated on six-part webinar series on environmental law

On April 15, 2021, PILC along with the Manitoba Eco-Network and the University of Winnipeg hosted a webinar on “Environmental Law and Reconciliation”. Professor Aimee Craft of the University of Ottawa and Ms Merrell Anne Phare, Canadian Commissioner of the International Joint Commission were the guest presenters. Since September 2020, five other webinars have been held is this environmental law series with funding support from the Manitoba Law Foundation and administrative support the University of Winnipeg.
The aim of the series was to place additional tools in the hands of Manitobans, and increase public participation in the projects and legal processes that impact on the environment in Manitoba and Canada. During the webinars, invited guests shared their expertise through presentations, conversations and by answering audience questions.
